Spotlight on Ted Goldstein

Ted Goldstein is the Bulk Foods Coordinator at Pomme de Terre Foods.

Ted grew up in Indiana, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology at Purdue University, and worked as a Computer Network Administrator for the Purdue School of Technology for 8 years.

Ted moved to Morris in 1996 with his spouse, Barbara Burke, when she accepted her faculty position at UMM. Ted and Barbara joined the coop as soon as they moved to Morris so they could enjoy natural foods and meet people.

Ted worked at Info Link, doing computer technical support and networking, until their son Ben was born in 1998. Then Ted decided to be a stay-at-home dad.

Ted shared a PdT board position with Barbara for 6 years, and many meetings were held in their home. The whole family helped move the coop to its current location, and Ted and Ben even helped paint the wall mural behind the register.

Ted started his position as Bulk coordinator in spring 08. He fills all of the bulk bins with grains, flours, beans and snacks; the refrigerated bulk containers with baking needs and raw nuts; and the bulk liquids, such as oils, molasses, vanilla and tamari. He plans the orders of all of the bulk products, and helps unload the delivery truck.
